Center for Intelligence Studies

Mission Statement

The Center for Intelligence Studies was formally chartered on March 1, 1988 as non-partisan public policy institution dedicated to the research and dissemination of substantive information regarding the threat posed by foreign intelligence services to the United States, and the proper role, scope and function of America's national intelligence services in protecting the national security. Accordingly, the principal areas of interest for the Center are intelligence, counterintelligence, counterespionage, strategic deception, disinformation and perception-management, security, subversion, terrorism and counter-terrorism.

To that end, the Center carries on a wide range of public interest activities devoted to the general public's education, with emphasis upon the areas listed above. The Center is a private institution, entirely independent of the United State's Government.

The Center currently operates as a tax-exempt educational foundation under Section 501 (c) (3) of the federal tax code. All contributions to the Center are tax-deductible.
