Is the Center a government agency?
A: No. The Center is a private educational
institution, operating under the Section 501 (c) (3) of the IRS code.
It
is supported entirely by membership dues and contributions; and
it
does not accept funding, support or direction from the United
States
Government, or any United States Government Agency
Q:
Who may become a member of the Center?
A: Membership in the Center is open to any U.S. citizen or lawful
resident, and to citizens of Allied Treaty Powers.
Q:
Are my membership dues tax-deductible?
A: Yes. All membership dues and contributions are tax-deductible
under U.S. law.
Q:
What are the benefits of being a member of the Center?
A: Members of the Center receive at no cost all CIS publications. These
include our monthly newsletter Forecasts, and other publications
from time to time including Special Reports and Occasional
Papers. These contain authoritative information on intelligence,
counterintelligence, counterespionage, strategic deception,
disinformation
and perception-management, security, subversion, terrorism and
counter-terrorism
that is simply unavailable from any other source. They also
receive
Legislative Alerts regarding relevant pending legislation, and
invitations
to special events in Washington and in their geographic regions.

Is membership confidential?
A: Absolutely. Member lists are private. They are not shared
with any other organization.
