Betrayed:
Betrayed
is
the story of the missing American POW/MIAs and the associated cover-up.
Betrayed digs deeply into the reasons why. Information gathered from behind the Iron Curtain tells how the American prisoners were used as guinea pigs in gruesome medical experiments – to train doctors, determine the effects of atomic radiation, and test experimental chemical and biological warfare agents. Tens of thousands of Americans were killed in experiments as brutal and horrendous as the atrocities and war crimes of Hitler’s death camps. Betrayed documents the silence of U.S. officials respecting these war crimes and atrocities and their efforts to hide from the American public information on live American captives, what happened to them, and the U.S. policy to abandon them and remain silent about these horrendous war crimes and atrocities. About the author: Joseph D. Douglass, Jr., Ph.D., a defense analyst, author, and speaker, has worked in the government and private industry. He taught at Cornell University, the Naval Postgraduate School, and Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and has authored numerous articles and a dozen books on U.S. and Soviet nuclear strategy; Communist decision making; chemical and biological warfare; and the political origins of international narcotics trafficking, terrorism, and organized crime. His last book, Red Cocaine: The Drugging of America and the West, received international acclaim.

What
the experts say about Betrayed:
“…unravels
the mystery behind the U.S. government’s refusal to acknowledge the sacrifice
of American POWs who became ‘guinea pigs’ for Communist regimes…a ‘must-read’
for every American who cherishes truth and justice.”
Whatever
you thought you knew about the issue before, be prepared to see that “you
ain’t seen nothing yet.” A genuine chiller that adds new meaning to the
word betrayed.
“…shows
how the abandonment of US POWs from Korea and Vietnam is the worst crime
in American history.”
“…a
work of great consequence …illustrates the ultimate value of the best human
intelligence.”
“…ties
together the pieces of the puzzle of Missing Americans…a story that American
needs to hear.”
“As
the wife of a man who did not return from being a known prisoner, it answered
the big question for me. I…could never figure out the real reason
for keeping the truth from the families… a must read for every citizen…keeps
your attention.
American officials abandoned American POW/MIAs rather than confront and embarrass Communist officials who held them captive at war’s end.

“I
shuddered as Czech Gen. Jan Sejna told me how the Communists used American
POWs in the most horrendous medical experiments…My anger exploded as I
recalled the lies and stonewalls I had encountered, even as a Congressman,
in trying to learn what had happened… the first book to comprehensively
tell what happened…Read it.
